What we collect

Only a signed-in parent, guardian, or authorized adult can create a family workspace. After the family subscription is active, that adult may choose to add a child’s name, grade or learning level, optional sign-in email and photo, assignments, journals, habits, progress, rewards, reading records, help signals, learning-moment notes or photos, uploaded schoolwork, parent review feedback, and optional assignment scores.

How it is used and disclosed

Child information is used to provide the private family workspace, save learning history, show progress, and keep each child’s access separated. It is disclosed only to service providers needed for hosting, identity, storage, security, and billing. day in Hand does not sell child information, use it for behavioral advertising, or require a child to provide more information than the activity needs. When a child presses “I need help,” day in Hand sends the family owner the child’s first name, activity title, selected help reason, and optional short note through the configured email provider. Help replies remain inside the family’s private day in Hand dashboards; day in Hand does not email those replies to the child.

Your choices

You may decline consent and not add a child. After consenting, you may review or export stored information, remove a child’s sign-in, archive or permanently delete a child profile, or delete the entire family account. Deletion stops further collection for the deleted profile or account.

Consent record

day in Hand records the signed-in adult, notice version, date, and consent method. Child profiles and learning content remain disabled until the adult completes a paid Stripe-hosted subscription transaction. day in Hand records that transaction as verifiable parental-consent evidence because the payment system notifies the account holder of the transaction.
